Meet Dr. Melz
Dr. Melz will guide you in transforming yourself, your team, and your organisation toward a vision of abundance, purpose, and possibility.
Dr Melz Owusu is an author, holistic coach, and thought leader. They earned their doctorate from the University of Cambridge, where their research explored knowledge beyond the limits of physical and scientific understanding. Their thesis centred spirituality as a valid and valuable form of knowledge, drawing from a wide range of traditions and disciplines—including Ancient Chinese Taoism, Indian Tantra, Quantum Physics, Jungian Psychology, Modal Knowledge, Post-Structuralism, Queer Theory, and Black Feminist Thought.
Melz works with both individuals and organisations to create meaningful transformation. As a holistic life coach, they help individuals integrate mind, body, and soul while recognising the wider social forces that shape our lives. Their approach supports people in connecting more deeply with themselves, living in alignment with their truth, and stepping into their fullest potential. At the organisational level, Melz partners with leaders and teams to cultivate cultures rooted in purpose, care, and visionary leadership. Through this work, they help organisations expand their vision—not just for themselves, but for the impact they can have on the world.
Melz is the host of Self Work, Soul Work, a weekly podcast exploring personal and spiritual growth. Through deep philosophical inquiry and spiritual wisdom, they bring powerful insights on healing, transformation, and collective liberation. Their mission is simple: to help people reconnect with their inner power and, in turn, create a better world.
In addition to coaching and speaking, Melz is deeply invested in teaching and facilitation. They lead workshops on imagination, alternative ways of knowing, mindfulness, and the integration of spirituality into work and leadership—helping individuals and organisations cultivate deeper awareness, creativity, and purpose in their personal and professional lives.
Melz’s first book, Undisciplined: Reclaiming the Right to Imagine, was written during their doctoral studies and published by Polity Press. They are now working on their second book, which explores masculinity—its beauty, complexity, and the challenges it presents in today’s world. This work seeks to support men, as well as people of all genders, in healing, holding space for masculinity’s richness, and reimagining it beyond harm.
